The five steps
- Transfer your solution. Once your solution is prepared, use a sterile syringe to transfer the liquid into a 3ml cartridge through the septum. Wipe surfaces with an alcohol prep pad first.
- Load the cartridge. Unscrew the pen body, seat the cartridge, screw it back together. It clicks home.
- Attach a tip. Universal pen needles, 31G or 32G. Twist on until snug.
- Prime the pen. Dial 2 units and press until a droplet forms at the tip. That clears the air — fluid now transfers completely.
- Cap and store. Your setup is ready. Recap, store cool and upright, and reuse cartridge after cartridge.
Tip sizes
Pen needle tips come in 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm lengths. The different lengths provide flexibility depending on the setup and type of application being used. 8mm is the most common general-purpose choice; shorter tips may require slightly longer engagement for complete fluid transfer.
